Black Bass truly has a winning formula. The owner, with his chair, moves from table to table interviewing about tastes and listing the proposals which are truly excellent.
We also tasted oysters that I don't know how generally interesting they are, like the Irish one, for example.
We didn't even get to the first one but we really took everything and more.
Extraordinary, I will definitely return. I went with my husband and we focused a lot 🤣 on raw food. The owner, as mentioned in other reviews, sits with you to organize the menu. Price appropriate to the quality. Nice and friendly staff.
Tastings of raw appetizers divided into several fish and scallop carpaccio, plus tartare, squid tagliatelle, scampi and prawns. one better than the other. A coquillage with 7 types of oysters, truffles, lemons, morsels and sea urchins. To finish, spaghetti with sea urchin sauce cooked perfectly al dente. The wine list is discreetly stocked and the refills are correct. The owner is prepared, attentive and available. I will definitely go back
Very nice restaurant, welcoming environment. The owner is very kind, he sits at the table and recommends a selection of raw meats, which honestly have few equals in terms of quantity and quality. Fish of many different varieties and very very fresh. To be honest, at some very high level dishes, in some cases, such as sea urchins and lemons, the quality was not at the same level. This is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Price in line with the quality of the products. It is certainly not a cheap restaurant, but the quality and the raw materials are expensive, so the price is right. In any case, if you want to eat fresh, raw fish of a high standard with a wide variety, there are no other alternatives on the same level.
I went to this restaurant last week and I must say that from what they told me about it, it fully confirmed my expectations. The restaurant is located in the center of Pieve di Cento (Fe), it is elegant and well looked after. Friendly and courteous staff. The owner sits at the table to take your order, advises you and explains everything down to the smallest detail. I found a really wide choice of fish and we enjoyed the various raw appetizers including the Percebes which was the first time I had tasted them. Everything was really delicious and you could feel the freshness of the fish. The only thing, for my taste, was a little too much oil. We also had the fish lasagna as a first course and prawns, scallops and prawn skewers for the second course. All really very good! The price is in line with the quality of the food. I advise.
